Hey there! I'm Jerrayah Dawson. Former STEM teacher, now designing and shipping academic products and tools. Eight years in product design, and I still build what I design.
You have the sauce. I help bottle it. I coined that after realizing the products that win aren't the ones with the best ideas — they're the ones whose ideas got bottled. A recipe anyone on the team can follow. Research, testing, repeat, until the thing that worked once works every time. That's what a design system is, and it's the work I love most.
On AI I think AI is good at cutting the noise — the repetitive, the tedious, the stuff that was never the point. What's left is the work that actually needs design thinking and empathy. That's the part I'm not interested in handing off.
